St. Marcs Clinic

A Community Resource for Health

St. Marc’s Clinic is a small but steady presence in the rural community of Jeannette, Haiti. Located alongside St. Marcs School, the clinic exists to meet everyday health needs in a place where formal medical care is often far away and difficult to reach.

St. Marcs Clinic continues to serve as a first line of care for the people of Jeannette. It is not a hospital and cannot meet every need, but it provides comfort, education, and treatment that would otherwise be out of reach. Families trust it as a familiar, dependable place, closely tied to the life of the parish and the wider partnership that supports it.

In addition to the clinic, there is a pharmacy and a laboratory that can do over a dozen kinds of blood tests. These facilities are now open 6 days a week with a doctor present and are now delivering babies in the clinic. The laboratory is a local community-built and funded as an outgrowth of the autonomous direction and the strength and trust of our ongoing partnership of over 40 years with Jeanette.

St. Marcs recently has brought in a dentist to make visits - the first in the region!
